Automotive Senior Technician (Automotive)

Location: Gervais, United States; onsite retail service location

Salary: $18.54–$31.63 per hour through a performance-based flat-rate compensation model.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, ignition, electrical, suspension, alignment, air-conditioning, and computer systems.
• Perform automotive maintenance and tire repairs to specification.
• Explain technical diagnoses and required repairs to customers without mechanical backgrounds.
• Assist with and train other technicians and mechanics.
• Complete paid formal training and obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three A1–A8 areas within the first two years.

Requirements

• Valid automobile driver's license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Demonstrated skill in brake and hydraulic systems or steering, suspension, and wheel alignment.
• Experience with general automotive maintenance and tire repair.
• Applicable federal, state, and local certifications or licenses.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical customers, with reading, writing, and math skills.
• Employment eligibility verification through Form I-9 is required; temporary work authorization or the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

Nice to have

• Three years of automotive repair experience, third-party assessments or certifications, or completion of a vocational-technical program.
• ASE certification in at least one A1–A8 area or L1 certification.
