Senior Reliability Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Location: Geel, Antwerp, Belgium; onsite at the manufacturing site

Salary: €72,500–€115,230 per year

Healthcare innovation organization developing Innovative Medicine and MedTech solutions, with the role based at a large Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients manufacturing site.

What you will do

• Lead complex equipment failure investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions that prevent recurrence.
• Analyze maintenance, operational, and process data to identify reliability trends, performance gaps, and technical bottlenecks.
• Partner with engineering and operational leadership to develop asset improvement strategies and long-term capital investment proposals.
• Optimize preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs to improve equipment availability, reliability, and lifecycle performance.
• Develop site-wide technical improvement initiatives and represent Maintenance & Reliability in multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline, or equivalent technical qualifications and experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Reliability Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience with reliability principles, maintenance optimization, asset lifecycle management, RCA, FMEA, RCM, and predictive maintenance.
• Strong analytical, collaboration, communication, and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and CMMS platforms such as SAP PM or Maximo.
• Fluent Dutch and English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, or similar analytics tools.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Green Manufacturing, or Product Reliability.
