LDAR Field Technician (Oil And Gas)

Location: Porter Ranch, California, United States; field work at various facilities

Salary: $19–$22 per hour, based on experience, skills, and geographic location

What you will do

• Inspect oil and gas facilities to identify and quantify hydrocarbon gas leaks and vents.
• Navigate to facilities using maps and GPS.
• Calibrate and maintain field equipment.
• Use detection and measurement technologies under Team Lead supervision.
• Collect and record emissions data and prepare field reports.

Requirements

• Experience in the oil and gas industry; natural gas processing or transmission facility experience is preferred.
• Effective computer skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office, plus proficiency with Android OS.
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to walk or stand while carrying technical equipment, lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, climb ladders and stairs, and work outdoors in all weather.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or a related technical field.
• Experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation, stack emission testing, or mechanical work.
