Survey Field Technician (Land Surveying)

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, United States; primarily outdoor field work with occasional office work

Salary: Starting at $24.00 per hour, based on experience and licensure.

What you will do

• Conduct field surveys using total stations, GPS receivers, data collectors, drones, and 3D scanners.
• Measure distances, angles, and elevations, and maintain accurate field notes and survey records.
• Operate, maintain, calibrate, and adjust surveying equipment.
• Set up and tear down equipment, perform site reconnaissance, and support field safety procedures.
• Download and organize field data and assist with survey drawings, reports, and project documentation.
• Work with the Crew Chief and survey team to complete projects efficiently.

Requirements

• Associate degree or certification in surveying, geomatics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience as a Survey Field Technician.
• Familiarity with surveying instruments and basic surveying principles.
• Ability to work primarily outdoors and occasionally in an office.
• Valid driver's license and ability to carry up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 80 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodation.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
