Senior Robotics and Controls Engineer - Strategic Robotics (Medical Robotics)

Salary: $125,000–$201,250 base pay per year

What you will do

• Develop robotic solutions for next-generation medical robotic systems within a multidisciplinary R&D team.
• Create methods for human-robot interaction using feedback from clinical engineers and physicians.
• Implement and test algorithms for novel medical devices and robotic systems.
• Design real-time software for safety-critical environments.
• Develop test protocols, build prototypes, and evaluate hardware and software performance.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, procedure development, and clinical procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years, master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ years of experience developing sophisticated robotics applications for electromechanical systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and UNIX environments.
• Knowledge and experience with robotic dynamics and kinematics.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 5% domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Deep expertise in detection and estimation, UI/UX design, haptics, soft robotics, or nonlinear control.
