Medical Assistant

Location: Onsite in Dayton, Ohio

Salary: $20.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Interview patients and measure vital signs, including pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
• Maintain accurate and current patient health records.
• Prepare treatment rooms and clean and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications and injections, perform laboratory tests, and operate EKG and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations.
• Support front desk operations, schedule appointments, make follow-up calls, and order medical supplies.

Requirements

• National Medical Assisting certification from an approved organization, or a certificate/diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a completed hands-on externship; fully online courses are not accepted.
• Current hands-on Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers from AHA, ARC, or an equivalent organization.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• State-specific laboratory certification is required in Nevada, and CMA certification requirements apply in South Carolina.
