Medical Assistant (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite in West Lafayette, Indiana, United States

Salary: $21.00–$25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support primary care physicians and deliver a coordinated patient experience.
• Escort patients, prepare examination rooms, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
• Collect vital signs and perform blood draws, injections, wound bandaging, and clinical procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications and immunizations under provider direction and written orders.
• Handle scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical records, referrals, specialist visits, and care coordination.
• Process test results, document patient information accurately, and conduct outreach to support patient engagement.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration; certification or registration is required where mandated by the state.
• CPR/BLS certification required by the start date.

Nice to have

• Phlebotomy experience.
