Medical Assistant (Primary Care)

Location: Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite

Salary: $22.00–$26.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support a primary care physician with patient intake, rooming, health history updates, and care delivery.
• Take vital signs, perform blood draws, administer injections and immunizations, bandage wounds, and assist with clinical procedures.
• Prepare and administer approved medications under provider direction and written orders.
• Manage front-desk activities, including scheduling, check-in and check-out, medical record requests, referrals, and specialist coordination.
• Document patient information accurately, process test results, and communicate results through approved channels.
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, treatment equipment, and participate in patient outreach.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant or related program.
• National or state-specific Medical Assistant certification or registration is preferred and required in states where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification is required by the start date.
• Experience with phlebotomy is preferred.
