Stewardship Analyst

Location: Boston, MA, United States; employees work from the office 4 days a week with flexibility to work remotely 1 day a week.

Salary: USD 80,000–150,000 per year, plus potential bonus, incentives, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support thematic and issuer-specific company engagement priorities and participate in discussions with company management and board directors.
• Research company disclosures, governance practices, sustainability reporting, proxy materials, and market context.
• Analyze proxy ballot items across global markets and develop voting recommendations aligned with proxy voting guidelines.
• Maintain engagement records and stewardship data for reporting, measurement, transparency, and client responses.
• Use data analytics and AI-enabled research tools to improve proxy analysis, engagement tracking, reporting, and workflows.
• Monitor regulatory developments and evolving governance practices while collaborating with investment and client platform teams.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, Sustainability, Political Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3–6 years of relevant experience in investment stewardship, corporate governance, investment research, responsible investing, sustainability, consulting, investor relations, or another research-oriented role.
• Strong analytical and research judgment, including the ability to form evidence-based recommendations from qualitative and quantitative information.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, relationship-building, organization, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Power BI, Python, or other AI-enabled workflows.
• Demonstrated interest in corporate governance, stewardship, sustainability, and long-term investing.
• Exceptional early-career analytical and writing ability.
