Undergrad Intern – Data Scientist (Biotech)

Location: Remote within the United States; students must remain located in the U.S. for the internship and be authorized to work there.

What you will do

• Execute and analyze data analysis and modeling projects, including data design and processing.
• Apply advanced statistical techniques to build predictive models and quantitative solutions.
• Test statistical analysis methods, software, and data sources to improve analytical capabilities.
• Develop ways for scientists to use data from multiple sources.
• Build automated capabilities to convert unstructured data into structured content for analysis and modeling.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older and located in the United States for the full internship.
• Currently enrolled full time in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Expected to complete at least one year of study before the internship and remain enrolled afterward.
• Must be available for a full-time schedule and authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program.
• Knowledge of one or more coding languages: Python, Java, Scala, or SQL.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, interpersonal, project management, communication, and independent-working skills.

Nice to have

• Degree concentration in information technology, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field.
• Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry experience.
• Coursework in business systems analysis, Lean, Agile/Scrum, software development, database modeling, cloud applications, or enterprise systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
