TL;DR
Cost Accountant (Manufacturing) (Oracle Fusion/Inventory Accounting): Supporting manufacturing and inventory accounting processes through cost analysis, financial reporting, inventory valuation, and controls support with an accent on standard costing, variance analysis, and operational partnership. Focus on reconciling manufacturing transactions, investigating material, labor, routing, and overhead variances, and translating complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
Location: Remote role associated with Steisslingen, Germany

What you will do
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for cost accounting and inventory.
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Analyze inventory aging, turns, shrink, scrap, MRB inventory, in-transit balances, reserves, and manufacturing transactions.
- Investigate work order variances related to material usage, labor efficiency, routing, and overhead absorption.
- Support cycle counts, physical inventory counts, audits, internal controls, and compliance procedures.
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle Fusion or a similar enterprise platform.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, presentation, and communication skills.
Nice to have
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or another relevant professional certification.
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cost Management, Inventory, Hyperion Planning, Adaptive, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with annual standard cost roll processes, PPV analysis, inventory reserve management, and manufacturing variance reporting.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance, financial controls, and audit support practices.
- Experience in semiconductor, industrial manufacturing, electronics, automation, or high-tech manufacturing.
