Plant Engineer (Cryogenic ASU)

Location: Mebane, North Carolina, United States; onsite at a cryogenic Air Separation Unit

What you will do

• Design and implement projects that improve plant safety, reliability, and operating efficiency.
• Develop designs for instrumentation, controls, engines, machinery, and mechanical, thermal, hydraulic, and heat transfer systems.
• Evaluate field installations, conduct operational tests, analyze results, and recommend equipment modifications.
• Partner with operations, maintenance, and project teams to improve workflows and complete engineering projects.
• Provide technical support for plant production, maintenance, the DCS system, and on-call plant assistance.
• Prepare cost justifications for capital, reliability, and efficiency improvements and report engineering activities to the Plant Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• 2–5 years of operational or project engineering experience.
• Ability to provide on-call technical assistance to plant personnel.
• Support for safety, health, environmental, process safety management, risk management, and operating permit requirements.

Nice to have

• Previous chemical or industrial experience.
• Experience in cryogenics.
