Accountant II

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States

Base pay: $41,700–$92,800 annually, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Prepare financial reports, statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Research and troubleshoot accounting and reporting questions or issues.
• Prepare reports requiring analysis and evaluation.
• Oversee and monitor workflows for preparing financial reports.
• Maintain state reporting documentation, invoices, payment records, and related files.
• Support reporting changes, process improvements, system improvements, and internal and external audits.

Requirements

• College degree or four years of accounting experience.
• Three years of financial reporting experience.
• Accounting experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Access, and PeopleSoft.
• Statistical data analysis skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; self-motivated and able to work independently.

Nice to have

• College degree in business or accounting.
• Experience with statutory reporting.
• Experience with Oracle General Ledger and Financials.
