Customs Operations Specialist

Location: Hybrid in Orlando, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; or Houston, Texas, with remote work also considered. Candidates must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, refugees, or asylees due to export control requirements.

What you will do

• Manage daily U.S. import and export activities, including customs document reviews and broker instructions.
• Analyze customs clearance issues and delays and drive improvement actions with brokers, partners, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with U.S. customs brokers and business functions on import, export, and trade transaction matters.
• Support regulatory implementation projects and optimize compliant use of Temporary Import Bonds, Chapter 98, and Carnets.
• Prepare clearance instructions and manage requirements involving FDA, EPA, AD/CVD, Sections 201, 301, and 232, quotas, and Free Trade Agreements.
• Review export documentation, file Electronic Export Information, and maintain required records.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in customs or international trade compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or high school diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience with global trade management technology or ERP systems such as SAP GTS, SAP GTM, or equivalent software.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, tariff classification, General Rules of Interpretation, and customs brokerage activities.
• Eligibility to work in the United States as a citizen or national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee is required.
