International Transportation Specialist II

Location: Middletown, Pennsylvania, United States; hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including freight quoting, carrier selection, scheduling, tracking, and delivery issue resolution.
• Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage freight claims, service failures, escalations, audits, billing discrepancies, and carrier rate activities.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, import/export documentation, company policies, and dangerous goods requirements.
• Analyze freight spend, transportation KPIs, carrier performance, dashboards, and operational reports to identify cost and service improvements.
• Support network expansion, new logistics partner onboarding, standardized processes, facility planning, and centralized transportation initiatives.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, freight management, or international transportation operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, transportation, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international shipments across multiple transportation modes and working with carriers, brokers, and third-party logistics providers.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, import/export requirements, customs documentation, international shipping, freight claims, and rate management.
• Proficiency with transportation management systems, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Fluent English communication skills and availability to work in the Middletown office 3 days per week are required.

• Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation requirements.
