Logistics Specialist I (Aerospace & Defense)

What you will do

• Prepare and document logistics materials, including spares, tools, equipment, and repair parts.
• Coordinate and track shipping routes while ensuring compliance with state, federal, global, and import/export regulations.
• Maintain accurate records for equipment, components, inventory, and related manuals.
• Support the allocation and organization of storage facilities.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support timely material delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field; a relevant higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
• Basic knowledge of logistics regulations and basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required for employment because an active U.S. security clearance is required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, work on foot for most of the shift, work in a loud environment, and travel as needed.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience with logistics software, inventory databases, shipping databases, AvPro, or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
• HazMat training or certification and forklift operating experience.
• Knowledge of shelf life, inventory and supply chain principles, or aerospace and defense operations.
