CNC Machinist IV (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC milling and turning centers.
• Manufacture components from metal, plastic, and composite materials using shop equipment and hand or power tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, assembly drawings, and GD&T requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections, troubleshoot machining issues, and maintain equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams on manufacturing projects.
• Communicate project progress and issues while following safety, shop, and quality-management procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 10+ years of CNC machining experience, with operational knowledge of multi-axis equipment, workholding, and fixturing.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, inspection processes, inspection equipment, and GD&T.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools; knowledge of hyperMILL, Mastercam, Siemens 840D, or DMG Mori equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to work in a shop environment, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and work evenings or weekends when required.
• Access to export-controlled technical data may require additional U.S. export-control screening under NASA regulations, ITAR, or EAR; meeting eligibility requirements is a condition of employment.
