Service Coordinator (HVAC)

Location: Birmingham, Alabama; onsite Monday through Thursday, with flexible work location on Fridays

Salary: $36,300.00–$66,465.00 annual base salary or hourly base pay range; compensation type: exempt hourly

What you will do

• Coordinate service resources, dispatch technicians, and assign team members to projects.
• Schedule personnel, materials, subcontractors, and equipment based on project needs, skills, and availability.
• Coordinate the assignment and dispatch of Controls Technicians and HVAC Technicians with Project Managers and field technician leadership.
• Coordinate with Parts and Acquisition departments to support service operations.
• Respond to customer concerns and special requests to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Generate work orders, review and route project paperwork, and prepare operational reports.

Requirements

• Certificate or degree from a college or technical school plus one year of related experience or training, or three years of related experience or training with a high school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service skills and comfort communicating by phone.
• Organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Energy Management Systems, HVAC Systems, or Temperature Controls.
• Practical experience and relevant skills in place of a four-year degree.
