Social Media & Digital Communications Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Long Beach, California, United States; the role supports on-site activations, events, production areas, and dynamic launch schedules.

Salary: $94,400–$118,000 USD base pay annually for California.

What you will do

• Plan and execute a digital editorial calendar aligned with missions, program milestones, and company goals.
• Manage daily content across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Bluesky, newsletters, and emerging platforms.
• Create real-time coverage for launches, hot fires, spacecraft deployments, trade shows, and major milestones.
• Work with engineers, mission operators, production teams, and media producers to translate technical achievements into accessible content.
• Use analytics, AI tools, experiments, and new formats to improve reach and engagement across organic and paid campaigns.
• Draft, shoot, edit, and publish content while maintaining technical accuracy and hirify.global’s brand voice.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience running high-growth, high-engagement social channels and digital campaigns for a fast-moving brand.
• A portfolio demonstrating personally built and executed campaigns.
• Experience with both organic and paid social campaigns and digital campaign strategy.
• Flexibility to travel and support on-site activations, events, and launch schedules across time zones.
• For US office roles, eligibility to work under applicable US Government space technology export regulations is required, including US citizenship, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylum status, or applicable authorization.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience distilling complex ideas into concise, witty, accurate copy.
• Hands-on photo, video capture, and mobile editing skills.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, motorsport, technology, or a startup environment.
• Interest in space exploration and technology.
