Summer 2027 Personal Lines Business Insights Intern (Insurance)

Salary: $23–$50 per hour national internship pay range

What you will do

• Retrieve, prepare, and analyze internal and external data for business analysis and reporting.
• Apply analytical and statistical techniques to identify trends and evaluate Personal Lines performance.
• Complete business intelligence, reporting, root cause, and ad hoc analyses.
• Support the development and maintenance of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Interpret data and develop recommendations that improve operational performance and business outcomes.
• Present findings and actionable insights to business partners and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Systems, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
• Completion of sophomore or junior year is preferred; a 3.0 GPA or higher is desired.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
• Experience using SQL or SAS; familiarity with Python or R is a plus.
• Understanding of statistical concepts, analytical methodologies, and data-driven problem-solving.
• Strong communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Prior internship, coursework, student project, leadership, or work experience.
• Interest or experience in Claims, Personal Lines, or the broader insurance industry.
