Healthcare Reimbursement Analytics Intern (Healthcare Analytics)

Location: Hybrid; on-site work at the Omaha, Nebraska office is required, and candidates must live within commuting distance from May 26 through July 30, 2027.

What you will do

• Analyze healthcare claims, including utilization, service types, denials, and reimbursement trends.
• Use SQL to source claims data and Excel to organize, validate, analyze, and summarize large datasets.
• Support reporting and dashboard development to identify reimbursement savings opportunities and operational inefficiencies.
• Analyze reimbursement for commercial, Affordable Care Act, and Medicare claims across metro and rural Nebraska.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, document findings, and present recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient access to care.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Public Health, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
• Familiarity with SQL or willingness to learn.
• Strong interest in healthcare finance, reimbursement, contracting, revenue cycle, or healthcare operations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
