Summer Associate Internship (Internal Audit - Data Analytics)

Location: Hybrid at campuses in Vienna, Virginia; Winchester, Virginia; or Pensacola, Florida, United States

Salary: $26.44–$38.70 per hour

What you will do

• Apply exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, and other techniques to assess process risks.
• Develop dashboards and visual aids that communicate actionable insights to management and executive leadership.
• Acquire, clean, transform, and analyze datasets for technology-focused internal audit work.
• Document project plans, analytical work products, reports, observations, and recommendations.
• Use Microsoft Copilot and AI agents to support research, analysis, automation, and deliverable development.
• Collaborate with Technology & Analytics personnel and other Summer Associates on continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Python, Copilot or other AI tools, and SQL.
• Effective research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret and apply data, instructions, guidelines, procedures, practices, and regulations.
• Interest in risk management, audit, or enterprise governance.
