Quality Control Technician

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana, United States; on-site

What you will do

• Perform independent in-process and final inspections of rigid and flexible factory-built substation assemblies.
• Verify dimensions, fit-up, component placement, hardware, workmanship, and assembly requirements against drawings and specifications.
• Identify, document, and communicate nonconforming conditions, supporting containment, disposition, and re-inspection.
• Review recurring defects, rework trends, and inspection data to support quality improvement.
• Coordinate inspection priorities with the Quality Coordinator and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality staff.
• Support consistent inspection checkpoints, process adherence, and reduction of rework.

Requirements

• Entry-level quality control experience or working knowledge of factory-built substation assembly processes.
• Ability to work independently, identify quality risks, and determine when escalation is required.
• Ability to use approved measurement tools, inspection checklists, drawings, specifications, and quality documentation systems accurately.
• Ability to collaborate professionally with team leads, production personnel, engineering, and quality staff.
• Reliability, attention to detail, ownership of inspections, and ability to manage multiple production priorities.
