Quality Control Inspector (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform visual, dimensional, documentation, incoming-material, in-process, and finished-product inspections.
• Review manufacturing and testing records, travelers, inspection reports, certifications, and customer requirements.
• Witness and document mechanical snubber, tensile, chemistry, laboratory, and other testing activities.
• Support quality oversight of radiological hot shop operations and maintain material traceability.
• Verify calibration, identification, and maintenance of measuring and test equipment.
• Document nonconformances, support root cause analysis and corrective actions, participate in audits, and communicate with customers, suppliers, engineering, operations, and laboratory personnel.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in quality inspection, manufacturing quality, testing, laboratory quality, or a related technical field.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, and pressure gauges.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection criteria.
• Ability to evaluate test data, document findings, identify nonconforming conditions, and recommend appropriate actions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and work overtime or weekends when required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 17025, ASME, NQA-1, or a similar regulated quality program.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector certification or equivalent.
• Experience with tensile testing, material chemistry verification, mechanical testing, calibration systems, corrective actions, or nonconformance reporting.
• Experience in nuclear, power generation, industrial testing, or radiological environments.
