DevOps Cloud Engineer

Location: Remote in the United States, with occasional work at a Booz Allen or customer facility required

What you will do

• Manage, administer, support, and enhance cloud environments.
• Deploy and operate enterprise Kubernetes and cloud-independent applications.
• Build infrastructure as code and automate application rollouts using Terraform and CI/CD DevSecOps practices.
• Optimize automated horizontal and vertical scaling and production deployment processes.
• Implement security hardening, monitoring, CVE remediation, and rollback procedures for production systems.
• Mentor employees and guide technical work on complex cloud engineering problems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience managing, enhancing, and administering cloud environments.
• Experience with enterprise Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, Terraform, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and production deployment automation.
• Experience meeting production STIG requirements, navigating IL5 security constraints, and working with DoD-managed deployment processes.
• Active Secret clearance is required, and eligibility for access to classified information may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification and a DoD Cyber Baseline Certification.

Nice to have

• Cloud architecture design experience.
• Experience guiding developers through weekly tasking and managing independent client engagements.
• Master’s degree in information technology or computer science.
