Forward Deployed Engineer (AI Connectivity)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $192,010–$274,300 annually, plus equity and bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Design, build, and implement hirify.global-based solutions across cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.
• Implement API gateways, AI gateways, service mesh, developer portals, and related connectivity technologies.
• Build automation frameworks, migration tooling, custom integrations, reusable accelerators, plugins, and infrastructure tooling.
• Drive migrations from legacy API management platforms to hirify.global.
• Collaborate with customer developers, platform teams, architects, security teams, executives, and hirify.global product and engineering teams.
• Create reference architectures, technical assets, documentation, and best practices for scalable delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in customer-facing engineering, platform engineering, professional services, SRE, or software engineering.
• Strong software engineering and implementation experience, including API gateways, API management, integrations, or distributed systems.
• Strong Kubernetes, cloud-native infrastructure, Linux, networking, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps expertise.
• Experience with automation frameworks, deployment tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or migration tooling.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, JavaScript, or Lua.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, or GitOps frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience in API management, open source, middleware, SaaS, or infrastructure software companies.
• Experience influencing product roadmaps through customer implementation feedback.
