Fund Accountant (Private Equity)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; hybrid

Salary: CAD 60,000–88,000 yearly

What you will do

• Review financial data from private equity clients and load it into internal accounting systems.
• Set up, prepare, and review consolidations across investment structures using applicable consolidation rules.
• Process fund expense payments, book journal entries, and reconcile investments and cash with third parties.
• Prepare capital call and distribution calculations, notices, fee schedules, management fee calculations, and carried interest calculations.
• Prepare investor allocations for NAV cycles, NAV packages, and other service-level deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, banks, auditors, and other third parties to complete deliverables.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in financial accounting, fund accounting, or audit.
• Strong Excel skills.
• CPA, ACCA, or CA qualification, ideally completed or in progress.
• Ability to work with investment consolidations, reconciliations, NAV cycles, and fund calculations.
• Private equity or hedge fund experience is preferred but not required.
