Senior Fund Accountant, Private Markets

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada; hybrid

Salary: CAD 72,000–CAD 105,600 per year

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for private equity funds using Investran.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE.
• Process capital calls, distributions, NAV calculations, investor reporting, management fees, and carried interest computations.
• Review and reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions.
• Support audit and tax processes by coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, clients, and internal teams.
• Improve Investran workflows, mentor junior team members, review their work, and resolve client queries.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in fund administration or audit.
• Experience with private equity structures and Investran or other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of investment fund structures and private markets accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, with strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders.

Nice to have

• CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting designation, completed or in progress.
