AI/Agentic Engineer

Location: Paris, France; hybrid workplace with a flexible remote policy of up to 40% per month.

Developing a universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer based on superconducting Schrödinger cat qubits.

What you will do

• Design and build LLM-based agentic systems that run or supervise quantum processor calibration.
• Develop AI tools for improving calibration automation routines.
• Build systems that detect, handle, and eventually self-correct calibration edge cases using experimental data.
• Take the solution from proof of concept to a robust, deployable production product.
• Build reproducible, observable, and maintainable calibration pipelines with monitoring and logging.
• Implement tool integration, state management, error handling, rollback, guardrails, CI/CD, and integration with the existing Python codebase.

Requirements

• 5–6 years of experience in a senior software engineering role.
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs and agentic architectures, including agent loops, tool calling, memory and state management, and evaluation.
• Strong production-level Python software engineering experience.
• Experience taking validated proofs of concept to stable, deployable products.
• Ability to work with numerical and scientific data and collaborate with technical and experimental research teams.
• Fluent English required; French is a plus.
