What you will do
- Prepare and compile federal government documents for the discharge of foreign cargo at domestic ports.
- Coordinate daily customs clearance activities and monitor customs broker procedures and reports.
- Serve as a focal point for existing and new customers and support communication with shipping companies, airlines, railroads, trucking companies, pipeline operators, and U.S. Customs.
- Implement standard operating procedures according to customer-specific requirements.
- Enter and check system data, prepare invoices, verify costs, check jobs, and close completed jobs.
- Support customer meetings and complete additional assignments from the team leader.
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in customs clearance, freight, transportation, or logistics operations.
- Ability to prepare and review shipping, customs, and invoice documentation accurately.
- Ability to coordinate with customers, customs brokers, carriers, and internal documentation teams.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and customer-specific requirements.
