Payment Posting Reconciliation Specialist (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Process manual and electronic remittance advice payments, adjustments, and insurance postings.
• Balance daily deposits across centers and prepare daily and monthly cash reports.
• Research missing EOBs and insurance payments through payer phone lines, portals, and clearinghouses.
• Investigate and resolve deposit, payment posting, underpayment, overpayment, and credit discrepancies.
• Collaborate with accounting on bank reconciliations, cash tracking, and cash management.
• Communicate payment issues and relevant information to management and colleagues while complying with regulatory and accrediting requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, collections, payment posting, and reconciliation.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance plans.
• Advanced medical billing reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Intermediate Excel proficiency and familiarity with clinical terminology, ICD-10, CPT codes, EOBs, HCFA regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure.
• Valid driver’s license required; proficiency in 10-key touch, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice to have

• Healthcare experience, including front desk, admissions, billing, or collections.
• Experience and understanding of chemical addiction.
