Company

Mercury is a fintech company building Mercury Bank, N.A., a proposed nationally chartered bank focused on serving ambitious businesses through charge card, term loan, and lending products.

What you will do

  • Own integrated program plans across credit and lending workstreams, including milestones, dependencies, resources, and critical paths.
  • Coordinate Engineering, Product, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, and Operations to deliver products and regulatory milestones.
  • Manage sequencing, tradeoffs, escalations, risks, decisions, and program status through a single source of truth.
  • Establish planning cycles, decision frameworks, reviews, and launch-readiness processes.
  • Translate complex cross-functional information into executive recommendations and maintain clear program and architecture documentation.
  • Lead retrospectives and post-mortems, applying incident learnings to system design, testing, runbooks, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of program management or technical program management experience in a high-growth or regulated environment.
  • Direct experience in financial services, fintech, or credit infrastructure, including compliance, audit, reporting, and risk obligations.
  • Experience owning department- or business-level programs with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional accountability.
  • Ability to influence executive stakeholders through clear writing and high-stakes communication.
  • Technical fluency sufficient to challenge engineering decisions, identify technical risks, and explain complexity to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the financial dynamics of a lending business, exceptional communication, systems thinking, and emotional intelligence.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with loan origination, credit risk management, or lending management systems.

Culture & Benefits

  • Product-first approach focused on user problems, learning speed, and measurable impact.
  • AI-native working style with an expectation of automating repetitive processes and improving team workflows.
  • Opportunity to design and operate systems in an ambiguous, high-growth environment.
  • Total rewards include base salary, equity through stock options or RSUs, and benefits.
  • Mercury is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer and provides reasonable accommodations throughout the recruitment process.
