PR Manager (Germany Remote)

Location: Europe-based, fully remote. Germany, the UK, or Sweden is a plus but not required; occasional travel may be involved.

What you will do

• Turn marketplace data into publishable stories about pricing, demand, breeds, names, and consumer preferences.
• Build and manage a group editorial calendar around seasonal and market-specific news hooks.
• Own trust and safety transparency reporting, including blocked listings, intercepted scams, protected buyers, and illegal import patterns.
• Identify regional human-interest stories through breeder reviews, Trustpilot, and support conversations.
• Act as the company press desk and build direct relationships with journalists.
• Prepare country leads and founders for interviews with talking points, Q&A materials, and data appendices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in PR, communications, or journalism, preferably in-house, with personally secured coverage in national or major regional media.
• Ability to develop stories from data and work confidently with spreadsheets and dashboards.
• Daily active use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for research, drafting, localisation, and workflow automation.
• Native-level English with writing that requires no editing before publication.
• Ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor while briefing agencies and freelancers.

Nice to have

• Experience in a reputation-exposed marketplace or a regulated or campaigner-scrutinised category.
• Experience running consumer surveys using panels or survey tools.
• Digital PR experience with earned links, newsjacking, and syndication.
