Heavy Equipment Operator

What you will do

• Operate forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections, keeping windows, lights, mirrors, and rear-view cameras clean.
• Transfer, spread, cover, load, and compact waste or soil at recycling facilities, landfills, or transfer stations.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime.
• Perform and document minor equipment servicing, complete condition reports, and escalate complex repairs.
• Maintain clean, serviced, and properly stored equipment and work areas at the end of each shift.

Requirements

• Two years of prior related experience operating heavy equipment.
• One year of experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Ability to follow safety policies, company rules, and assigned work schedules.
• Good time management, follow-through, customer service, and communication skills.
• Professional, courteous, cooperative, honest, and trustworthy approach to customers and coworkers.
