Associate Performance Engineer, R&D - MedTech (Robotics)

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio, United States; flex/hybrid schedule with 3 days per week on-site

Salary: $76,000–$121,900 per year

What you will do

• Design tests that measure system performance against requirements.
• Define testing strategies aligned with business and timing constraints.
• Write Python test scripts for automated data capture and post-processing.
• Develop dashboards and data visualizations to support technical decisions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineers on hardware and software integration.
• Validate formal verification test methods for accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of product development or design experience.
• Experience with test method development, data analysis, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for test automation and data processing.
• Basic mechanical design and analysis skills, including mechanisms and machine elements.
• Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally, including overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Medical device design, development, commercialization, and verification experience, including FDA requirements.
• Systems-based design and cross-disciplinary integration experience.
• Experience with ROS 2, PostgreSQL or MySQL, cloud platforms, Cognex or OpenCV, SolidWorks, Minitab, Git, or Bitbucket.
• Experience creating dashboards for data visualization.
