What you will do
- Review and process purchase requisitions, purchase change orders, and supplier requests for quotes.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning, engineering, suppliers, and quality assurance.
- Maintain procurement business system data, bills of material, part numbers, supplier codes, quote tables, and supplier records.
- Perform cost analysis, volume planning, commodity management, market trend assessment, and product availability analysis.
- Monitor subcontract cost, schedule, and scope while negotiating quality and value.
- Develop competitive supply sources and recommend make-versus-buy or alternative sourcing proposals.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience.
- Experienced understanding of procurement principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
- Experience analyzing data and solving problems across diverse procurement and commodity-management areas.
- Domestic or global expertise in assigned commodities.
