Senior Sourcing Coordinator (Manufacturing/Supply Chain): Developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives for materials, components, and services supporting manufacturing operations with an accent on supplier qualification, negotiations, cost reduction, and supply continuity. Focus on managing international suppliers, mitigating supply chain risks, optimizing total cost of ownership, and coordinating sourcing projects across engineering, quality, and production.
Location: Onsite in Tijuana, Mexico

What you will do
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans aligned with production and supply chain requirements.
- Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop local and international suppliers.
- Lead RFQ, RFP, bidding, technical evaluation, commercial evaluation, and contract negotiation processes.
- Deliver cost-reduction and cost-avoidance initiatives through cost analysis, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership evaluation.
- Support supplier localization, dual sourcing, supplier performance management, and corrective action plans.
- Coordinate sourcing projects with Engineering, Quality, manufacturing, and management teams while maintaining ERP/MRP data and sourcing reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, commodity management, or supply chain within manufacturing or a maquiladora environment.
- Experience managing local, U.S., and international suppliers, including supplier negotiations and cost-reduction projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain operations, MRP/ERP systems, and platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and supplier-management abilities.
- Advanced English proficiency is required for communication and negotiations with international suppliers and corporate teams.
Nice to have
- Experience with metalworking, sheet metal, fabricated components, electrical components, plastics, packaging, raw materials, or industrial services.
- Knowledge of Power BI, supplier localization, dual sourcing, NPI, engineering change management, and supply risk management.
