Location: Lawrence, United States; onsite outpatient/ambulatory clinical setting. May be asked to cover satellite locations.
Salary: $23.00–$26.91 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do
- Manage patient flow, room utilization, provider availability, and communication of delays.
- Prepare patients and exam rooms, collect histories, record vital signs, review medications, and assess comfort and safety.
- Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, procedures, specimen collection, and immunizations as needed.
- Perform point-of-care testing, equipment quality checks, and clinical supply inventory management.
- Support referrals, prior authorizations, diagnostic testing, surgical scheduling, billing documentation, and electronic medical record updates.
- Provide administrative support, including telephone coverage, message taking, interpreter coordination, paperwork scanning, and faxing.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant National Certification Attestation from AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
- Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within three months.
- Less than two years of Medical Assistant experience; two years is preferred.
- English reading, writing, spelling, and documentation skills; basic to moderate computer skills and ability to use electronic medical record systems.
- Knowledge of EPIC, HIPAA, universal precautions, patient handling, and age-specific patient care.
