Associate Art Director (Fashion)

Location: New York, NY; this role is based in the New York office

Salary: $90,000–$100,000 base salary per year, plus benefits, short-term incentive program, clothing allowance, and merchandise discounts.

What you will do

• Support the Digital Art Director in developing multi-platform and multi-channel campaigns with static and video designs.
• Maintain brand standards and deliver consistent, innovative creative across marketing, e-commerce, social media, print, and digital channels.
• Guide the production of assets for seasonal launches, promotions, e-commerce, sales, site refreshes, email, direct mail, signage, and invitations.
• Oversee social content creation, including image cropping, grid layouts, video editing, Instagram Reels, TikToks, and Instagram Stories.
• Own photo shoots for the JOOR wholesale platform, including pre-production, creative direction, and brand-compliant asset delivery.
• Coordinate retouching, deliverables, timelines, and cross-functional asset delivery.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of design and art direction experience in a related field; fashion or luxury experience is advantageous.
• BA or BFA in design or a similar discipline.
• Strong typography skills, refined visual taste, modern design judgment, and an interest in fashion.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Capture One, and XD.
• Portfolio demonstrating design, branding, and art direction projects.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, time-management, project-management, and deadline-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in luxury lifestyle, fashion, or a creative agency.
• E-commerce art direction experience.
