Graduate Consultant (Mechanical Engineering)

Location: Melbourn, Royston, UK; on-site five days a week

What you will do

• Support multidisciplinary teams in inventing new products and technologies.
• Contribute to technology and product development from invention and analysis through prototype design and transfer to manufacture.
• Work across projects in areas including drug delivery, drug discovery, AI, and communications technology.
• Build relationships with clients, present technical findings, and ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Develop commercial and entrepreneurial understanding of markets while helping projects progress.
• Represent hirify.global at UK and international conferences and support new client development.

Requirements

• On track for a minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, such as IB.
• Intellectual curiosity, inventiveness, and the ability to apply rigorous first-principles thinking.
• Commercial awareness, an entrepreneurial mindset, proactive ownership, and the ability to work through ambiguity.
• Strong collaboration, stakeholder influence, and communication skills for explaining complex technical ideas clearly.
• Available to start in September 2027 and able to work on-site five days a week.
