Quality Engineer/Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin, United States; primarily office-based with occasional visits to the manufacturing floor and travel to other sites or the corporate office.

Provides integrated design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly capabilities for aluminum framing, windows, storefront, curtainwall, and entrance systems across North America.

What you will do

• Help develop and deploy quality assurance plans for assigned areas.
• Oversee process and product audits to verify compliance with established standards.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities for product and process defects.
• Use customer quality data to guide process improvement and coordinate with customer-facing quality teams.
• Support containment and analysis of supplier quality issues.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and help implement the Quality Management System.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related field, or at least 3 years of experience in quality assurance or a technical field.
• Working knowledge of quality management tools, including root cause analysis.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Engineering-degree holders are designated as Quality Engineers; candidates without an engineering degree performing similar responsibilities are designated as Quality Specialists.
