Senior Director, Enterprise Data Management (Fintech)

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year

What you will do

• Define the enterprise data strategy and align the multi-year roadmap with product, AI, and commercial objectives.
• Lead the convergence of transactional, operational, and analytical data into a unified, bi-directional operational backbone.
• Establish data governance, automated classification, RBAC enforcement, platform SLAs, certified data objects, and enterprise data catalogues.
• Build data infrastructure readiness for ML pipelines, LLM serving layers, agentic capabilities, semantic models, and real-time data serving.
• Develop governed internal and external data products, including data asset registries, partner data sharing, and commercialized data offerings.
• Lead and grow the Data Platform Team while partnering with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Risk, and Analytics.

Requirements

• 10+ years of data leadership experience, including 5+ years at Director level owning enterprise data strategy, architecture, or governance.
• Experience modernizing complex, multi-source data environments at scale, preferably in SaaS, fintech, or payments.
• Deep expertise in cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake, lakehouse architectures, ETL frameworks, and semantic or canonical modelling.
• Experience applying AI and ML infrastructure principles, including data governance, observability, and standards for safe deployment.
• Proven ability to build technical teams, manage data platform costs, forecast spending, and oversee talent across BI, analytics, data engineering, and CI/CD.
• Experience with external data products, consent frameworks, lineage standards, privacy compliance, and executive-level communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with agentic AI architecture, MCP, or LLM serving layers.
• Familiarity with AR/AP automation, payments, or working-capital platforms.
• Experience commercializing data through APIs, packaged data assets, or partner data-sharing programs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Glue, SageMaker, Bedrock, Snowflake, and modern BI tools.
• Background in a PE-backed, high-growth SaaS environment.
