Senior Research Scientist, Health Economic Modelling (R)

What you will do

• Build, program, and report health economic cost-effectiveness simulation models in R and Excel/VBA.
• Plan analyses, conceptualize models, interpret results, and conduct sensitivity analyses.
• Evaluate clinical and health economic studies to identify key drivers, data gaps, and methodological issues.
• Prepare technical reports and other client-ready study deliverables.
• Present progress and results to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with health economists, statisticians, and researchers on innovative global projects.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in health economics, statistics, or a related discipline.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in consulting for biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare clients.
• Proven R programming experience with cost-effectiveness simulation models.
• Experience applying statistical methods in health economics, including parametric survival regression model extrapolation, network meta-analyses, and probabilistic sensitivity analyses.
• Expertise in Excel and VBA, plus proficiency with Git or GitHub, data analysis, and visualization.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, C++, hesim, shiny, or Rcpp.
• Experience with Bayesian statistics and advanced modelling techniques.
• Experience with network meta-analysis, matching-adjusted indirect comparison, or simulated treatment comparison.
