Field Service Panel Builder Technician (Electrical Engineering)

Location: Customer sites throughout the Netherlands, with workshop-based work and travel across the country

A growing Dutch technical organisation specialising in electrical distribution systems, control panels, and industrial electrical engineering, with engineering, production, installation, and service performed in-house.

What you will do

• Assemble, install, connect, commission, and maintain electrical distribution systems and control panels.
• Build electrical cabinets from schematics and technical drawings in the workshop.
• Install and interconnect panels at customer sites when they cannot be transported as a single unit.
• Diagnose electrical faults, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate installation and service activities with customers to minimise operational disruption.
• Participate in on-call and breakdown services and support workshop activities during quieter field-service periods.

Requirements

• MBO level 3 working and thinking level, preferably in electrical engineering, or demonstrable relevant experience.
• Solid experience with electrical engineering and electrical installations; panel-building experience is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong practical and technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot independently and work accurately and safely.
• Familiarity with NEN 3140 procedures and a VCA certificate, or willingness to obtain the relevant training.
• Valid Category B driving licence, flexibility regarding working hours, willingness to travel throughout the Netherlands, and good command of English. Dutch is advantageous but not required.
