Senior Software Engineer in Test I (QA Automation)

What you will do

• Design, write, and implement integration, component, and UI tests.
• Develop automation software, test harnesses, load tests, and supporting test infrastructure.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, analytics, and stakeholders on testability, quality, and customer experience.
• Execute tests, analyze results, investigate defects, and debug systems across production, test, and development environments.
• Establish test baselines, report quality trends, and ensure tests are repeatable and monitorable.
• Set test and automation direction, address technical debt, and mentor less experienced engineers and testers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of testing experience in a software domain.
• At least 2 years of professional Java development experience.
• Experience with OS X, Linux, Spring, AWS, microservices, SQL, NoSQL, and Git.
• Experience in Scrum, DevOps, and agile software development lifecycles.
• Knowledge of computer science concepts, design patterns, secure application programming, and web application development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience; strong debugging, documentation, communication, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience designing and building JSON or REST services and working with third-party or AWS APIs.
• Experience with Docker or other containers, distributed web applications, test-driven development, and functional testing.
