Team Leader – Standard Lab (Geotechnical Laboratory)

Location: Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium; onsite laboratory role

What you will do

• Lead the daily operations of the Standard Laboratory, coordinating the collection, testing, and analysis of geotechnical data.
• Manage, coach, and develop laboratory personnel through guidance and training.
• Act as the technical reference for the team and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Plan equipment maintenance and calibration and manage the availability of laboratory materials.
• Drive continuous improvement through technical discussions and development of laboratory processes and capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
• More than 3 years of team leadership experience.
• Solid knowledge of geotechnical laboratory testing.
• Knowledge of ISO 17892 and BS1377 is essential; experience with ISO 17025 quality processes is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and French is required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, an organized and proactive approach, and competence with Excel and email.
