Lead Technician (Tire Testing)

Location: Tire Test Lab & Advanced Tire Production Center; onsite work in the United States. Employment eligibility verification through Form I-9 is required, and the need for sponsorship may disqualify applicants.

What you will do

• Set up, configure, install, and maintain laboratory equipment, including tire-mounting and automotive testing machinery.
• Operate equipment according to work instructions, procedures, and checklists.
• Take measurements and perform routine tire and laboratory tests using standard procedures.
• Complete safety checks and preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Lead daily laboratory operations, determine methods for new assignments, and recommend solutions to non-routine problems.
• Train, delegate, and review the work of lower-level employees.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of related experience.
• Mechanical and problem-solving aptitude, with the ability to develop broad knowledge of tire test machines and methods.
• Knowledge of ISO requirements, including ISO 16949, ISO 17025, or ISO 9001.
• Understanding of quality and safety standards, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and web-based navigation.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• An associate degree in a mechanically oriented program is preferred.
