Engineer II - Manufacturing

What you will do

• Analyze daily, monthly, and annual metrics to improve machinery operations, tooling, production methods, machine controls, safety, scrap, productivity, and process capability.
• Investigate safety and quality issues with cross-functional groups, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead capital expense projects from quotation through IQ/OQ/PQ and participate in budgeting and emergency capital projects.
• Create documentation for automated processes, new products, and new equipment transitions into production.
• Lead automation initiatives and identify opportunities for automation within the value stream.
• Improve preventive maintenance and minimize or mitigate unplanned equipment downtime while maintaining safety and quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3–6 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Working knowledge and practical experience applying intermediate Lean Manufacturing tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SPC, data analysis, process mapping, PFMEA, process design, DFM, Cpk, Ppk, and/or DMAIC.
• Knowledge of materials through education or experience.
• U.S. Person status is required for authorized access to ITAR-controlled data.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma certification, Lean Practitioner training, or LSS Green Belt certification.
• Experience with automation projects, equipment redesign, preventive maintenance, and new product development.
