NPC Manufacturing Engineer II (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operating sequences, and processes for parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
• Coordinate the release of product improvements and new products with other engineering functions.
• Apply engineering and design-for-excellence principles to reduce manufacturing and product costs and improve quality.
• Determine time standards and recommend tooling and process requirements.
• Develop test procedures, evaluate test results, and assess work methods, procedures, and policies.
• Identify root causes and corrective actions for assembly and system-testing issues, including Process Failure Mode & Effects Analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Conceptual knowledge and technical experience for day-to-day problem solving.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and clean-room environment in Austin, including extended standing, walking, tight spaces, hand and power tools, and required personal protective equipment.
