What you will do

• Support the design and engineering of manufacturing facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and critical utility systems.
• Perform engineering calculations, including heat transfer, pressure drop, material and energy balances, fluid mechanics, and basic sizing calculations.
• Document process design scopes in coordination with architects, engineers, designers, and internal and external project members.
• Develop engineering deliverables including block and process flow diagrams, equipment lists, equipment datasheets, utility summaries, and P&IDs.
• Contribute to studies, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Support field installation teams and conduct construction site observations under the direction of experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program in mechanical, chemical, or bioprocess engineering.
• 0–3 years of experience in a design firm setting.
• Fundamental experience with process modeling, material and energy balances, fluid mechanics, hydraulic modeling, heat transfer, and basic sizing calculations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering software for drafting, process modeling, and calculations.
• Ability to perform basic discipline design calculations under engineer supervision and coordinate with cross-discipline project teams.
• Fundamentals of Engineering exam registration or completion is preferred.
